ENGANGEMENT WITH THE SOVEREIGN ORDER OF MALTA

• In 1971, accepted to Malteser Hospitaldienst Austria (MHDA), the Order’s volunteer relief corp in Austria.
• Took care of the MHDA Ambulances cars, managed to modernise the fleet, made Malteser Austria a well-respected partner of the Austrian Red Cross organization in Vienna.
• Became a member of MHDA’s Division Vienna leading team in 1973
• Invited to join the Order of Malta as Knight of Grace and Devotional member in 1974.
• Became a regional leader of MHDA in Vienna
• Organized emerganzy help (food/tents and clothes) to the victims of the earthquake in Friuli (Italy) in 1976, was awarded with the Medal of Honour.
• 1976 until 1978, was leading a team to re-organise the structure of MHDA, which has been approved and is still today valid.
• Joined the Diplomatic Service of the Sovereign Order of Malta on 2017
